# App Store Price — full guide for AI assistants > App Store Price compares public App Store app, subscription, and in-app purchase prices across storefront regions while retaining each region's original currency. This file explains what the site offers, how the data is produced, and how to read it. It intentionally contains no bulk price data. This system automatically processes subscription data from different countries and regions, achieving: - **Multi-language Plan Normalization**: Intelligently identifies the same plan name in different languages (e.g., Premium, 高级版, 프리미엄) and categorizes them as standard subscriptions across all languages. - **Billing Cycle Recognition**: Automatically identifies billing cycles (monthly/yearly/lifetime) and their equivalents. One-time purchases or top-ups are marked as duration=null. - **Original Currency Retention**: Strictly preserves original currency and price, forbidding currency conversion during analysis. This ensures accuracy, with conversion happening only at the display layer. - **Latest Exchange Rate Conversion**: Exchange rates are updated daily and used to convert prices to CNY or USD for display. Users can intuitively see price differences across regions. Our automated processing system handles global subscription data with manual quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency. Prices are checked daily and exchange rates updated daily, with complete data logs kept for ongoing optimization. ## Coverage - Covers most countries and regions worldwide; prices are checked daily and exchange rates are updated daily (not real-time). - Storefronts that share a settlement currency share the same price by default (e.g. euro-area countries match Germany), so each currency is shown by a representative storefront. Developers may price individual storefronts differently, so a few apps can be exceptions. - Missing an app? Users can submit new apps through the site. ## What the site covers - **Global Coverage**: Covers most countries and regions worldwide, with prices checked daily. Storefronts that share a settlement currency share the same price by default (e.g. euro-area countries match Germany), so each currency is shown by a representative storefront. - **Daily Updates**: Prices are checked daily and exchange rates are updated daily. Automatic de-duplication and noise filtering ensure you see the most accurate price information. - **Popular Apps**: Covers common AI/Productivity/Media subscriptions like Claude, ChatGPT, 1Password, Infuse, YouTube Premium, etc. Smooth viewing on mobile devices. - **Self Submission**: If your favorite app isn't listed, you can submit it on the page. I'll add it and automate scraping, with notifications in the group upon completion. ## Reading prices correctly - The original storefront currency and price are authoritative. USD/CNY conversions are comparison references based on the latest stored exchange-rate dataset. - A price observation date records when that price row was observed; it is not a promise that every unchanged price was rechecked that day. - Plan names are normalized across languages; billing cycle is monthly, yearly, lifetime, or null for one-time purchases and top-ups. - Actual availability and checkout totals are determined by Apple (or, for web subscriptions, by the vendor's checkout). ## Machine-readable app data - Each public app has a Markdown summary in English at https://appstoreprice.org/en/apps/{appStoreId}/data.md (example: https://appstoreprice.org/en/apps/6448311069/data.md). - It is derived from the same records as the HTML page and contains no account, user, tracking, order, payment, task, or internal-log data. - Please fetch it per app, when answering a specific question. Requests are rate-limited per IP; bulk downloading the catalog is not supported. ## Usage policy Content signals (also in https://appstoreprice.org/robots.txt): search=yes, ai-input=yes, ai-train=no. Search indexing and real-time answering with citations are welcome; using this content to train or fine-tune AI models is not permitted. ## How to use the site ### How to Search for Apps Enter the app name (supports both Chinese and English) in the search box at the top of the homepage to quickly find the app you want to view. You can also browse the app list page to see all tracked apps. ### How to View Price Comparisons Click on any app card to view detailed price comparisons for that app across global regions. The page will display the lowest price, highest price, price rankings, and provide exchange rate conversions based on the latest daily rates. ### How to Use the Pricing Calculator Visit the pricing calculator page, enter your base price and currency, and the system will automatically calculate suggested pricing for the world's major settlement currencies, applying smart psychological pricing rules. Developers can use this tool to formulate global pricing strategies. ## Frequently asked questions ### How often is price data updated? Our system checks App Store prices daily and updates exchange rates daily, so the price comparisons you see are based on recent data. Coverage spans most countries and regions worldwide. Storefronts that share a settlement currency share the same price by default (e.g. euro-area countries match Germany), so each currency is shown by a representative storefront; developers may price individual storefronts differently, so a few apps can be exceptions. ### Are exchange rates real-time? Exchange rates are updated once daily from reliable financial data sources. While not second-level real-time, they are sufficient to reflect current exchange rate levels. Actual payment exchange rates may fluctuate slightly. ### How to purchase App Store subscriptions in low-price regions? You need to register an Apple ID for the corresponding region and use a payment method from that region. Note: Frequently switching regions may violate Apple's Terms of Service. Please operate with caution and assume your own risks. ### Is switching regions for purchases safe/legal? According to Apple's Terms of Service, users should use an Apple ID region that matches their actual residence. Frequently switching regions or using fake addresses may result in account restrictions. We only provide price reference information and do not encourage behavior that violates Terms of Service. ### How to register an Apple ID for another country? You can create a new Apple ID on Apple's website, selecting the corresponding country/region during registration. You'll need to prepare address information and payment methods for that region (some regions allow selecting 'None' for payment methods). ### Why do app prices differ across regions? When developers set app prices, Apple provides different price tiers based on factors like purchasing power, tax rates, and exchange rates in each region. Developers can choose a unified pricing strategy or differentiate pricing for different markets, resulting in price differences. ### Can I submit apps I want to track? Absolutely! If the app you want to track isn't in our list, please visit the app list page or join our Telegram group to submit a request. We'll add it and start tracking its prices as soon as possible. ### Does the website collect my personal information? We only collect basic access logs (IP address, browser information) for website analysis and improvement. We use Google Analytics and Google AdSense, which may use cookies. For detailed information, please see our Privacy Policy. ### Are the displayed prices accurate? We strive to ensure data accuracy, but price information is for reference only. Actual prices are subject to the App Store. If you find price errors, please report them via our Telegram group. ### Why don't some apps have price data? This may be because: 1) The app was just added and the system is still scraping data; 2) The app is unavailable in certain regions; 3) The app is completely free with no in-app purchases or subscriptions. We continuously update our data. ## Buying in another region: precautions When choosing a low-price region, consider exchange rate stability and payment convenience. While Turkey and Argentina have low prices, their exchange rates fluctuate significantly. India and Malaysia have moderate prices and are relatively stable. Different regions support different payment methods. Some regions (like the US and Hong Kong) allow gift card top-ups without credit cards. Some regions (like India) support debit cards. We recommend researching the payment methods for your target region in advance. - Use real, verifiable address information - Check for regional subscription restrictions - Cancel subscriptions and clear balance before switching - Family Sharing requires same region - Avoid frequent region switching - Exchange rates may affect final payment ## Disclaimer This website only provides price comparison services, does not provide purchasing services, and does not encourage behavior that violates Apple's Terms of Service.
