Pala: Visual Daily Planner, Time Blocking & ADHD Schedule Hey everyone, I really hope this little app brings you some peace. Pala means “a moment” in Sanskrit. That’s what this app is all about — helping you handle your moments with a bit more calm and clarity instead of feeling constantly overwhelmed. A couple of months ago, at 28, I finally got diagnosed with ADHD. For the longest time I thought everyone’s brain worked like mine — racing thoughts, forgetting important things, starting tons of stuff and finishing almost nothing. I spent years quietly beating myself up, thinking I was just lazy or bad at life. Work, relationships, everything suffered. Getting the diagnosis was such a relief. It helped me stop fighting myself and start working with my brain instead. I tried so many planners and productivity apps, but most of them felt like extra work. So I decided to build something simpler and kinder — an app I genuinely wished existed for myself. What makes me happiest is that Pala isn’t just mine anymore. Almost half the features came from listening to real people on Reddit who shared their struggles and wishes. I hang out a lot in r/palamy, reading your stories, answering questions, and slowly adding the things that actually help. It’s slowly growing into a small, kind community of people who just want tools that understand us. I’d love for you to come say hi if you feel like it. Here’s what I’ve poured into Pala so far: You get a beautiful Circular Time Blocking Clock that shows your whole day on a friendly 24-hour face. It’s visual, simple, and makes time blocking feel natural instead of stressful. You can see your free time, overlaps, and schedule at a glance. Adding tasks is super easy thanks to the AI. Just type or speak naturally — like “Help me finish my report, go to the gym at 5, call mom, and don’t forget the milk” — and it plans your day for you. It even helps move missed tasks forward so nothing important slips away. Pala also checks the weather for you, so you’re not accidentally planning outdoor stuff on rainy days. It’s a small touch, but it really helps make plans feel realistic. When you need to focus, there’s a clean, full-screen Focus Mode with Pomodoro that keeps distractions away. And on days when you’re not feeling productive at all (we all have them), you can open the journal, speak your thoughts or write them down, and the AI will gently listen and help you reflect. Everything stays in perfect sync across your iPhone, iPad, and Mac through iCloud. Over time, Pala quietly shows you gentle insights about your progress — no pressure, no judgment, just helpful information so you can see how you’re doing. I built this because I needed it badly. I’m still learning and improving every week based on what the community shares. If you’re someone who struggles with traditional planners, I truly hope Pala feels different — softer, more visual, and more understanding of how our brains actually work. Thank you for even considering giving it a try. Your moments really do matter, and I hope this app helps you enjoy them a little more.
