App Store Price, the Pinlist app, and the AppStorePrice Chrome extension (collectively, "our services") respect your privacy. This policy explains the information processed when you use our services, why it is used, and the services involved.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following types of information:
Automatically Collected Information
Website access logs may include IP address, browser type, operating system, access time, and pages visited. On first use, the Chrome extension explains its data use and waits for consent; it then sends only the numeric App ID in an HTTPS POST body to retrieve prices, never the full URL, page content, searches, account information, or cookies. It stores a non-identifying consent version locally until extension data is cleared, the extension is uninstalled, or the consent version changes, and keeps public price responses in Chrome session storage for reuse for 15 minutes; expired responses may remain until later cleanup or Chrome closes. Extension App IDs and API security logs (such as IP, browser, time, and request status) are used only for price comparison, service reliability, abuse prevention, and legal obligations—not advertising, profiling, credit decisions, or sale. They are transferred only when necessary to service providers, for security or legal compliance, or in an asset transfer, and human access is limited to user consent/support, security investigations, legal requirements, or aggregated and anonymized operations.
User-Submitted Information
If you contact us through a contact form or submit an app tracking request, we may collect your email address and other information you provide.
Pricing and App Data
We collect app pricing information from public App Store data sources. This data does not contain any personally identifiable information.
Pinlist purchase and entitlement data
PinlistPinlist processes a limited set of purchase metadata to unlock Pro, restore purchases, respond to refunds or expiration, prevent duplicate grants, and audit entitlement changes. We do not receive your payment card details.
Anonymous installation audit identifier
Pinlist generates a random audit identifier for each app installation. It is not your Apple ID, name, or email address, and it does not determine Pro access.
App Store transaction metadata
We may process product ID, transaction and original transaction identifiers, purchase, expiration and revocation dates, storefront, and StoreKit environment. Apple handles payment and billing details.
Service providers and audit
Apple verifies purchases and provides transaction history used to restore access. Our Worker securely calls Apple on the app's behalf, while our API and database retain diagnostic audit records only.
We retain entitlement and transaction audit records only as needed to provide Pro access, meet legal obligations, resolve support requests, and prevent abuse. You may contact us about deletion; some transaction records may need to be retained where required for security, accounting, or legal compliance.
2. Cookie Usage
The website uses cookies and similar technologies to improve browsing, analyze website traffic, and display advertising. These website advertising practices do not apply to App IDs or API logs produced by the Chrome extension.

Alongside Google AdSense, we may show sponsored content that we sell directly on App detail pages. The images and copy for these ads are hosted entirely on our own servers; we do not load advertiser-supplied scripts, iframes, or tracking pixels.
To report results to advertisers, we record which App page you viewed, your interface language, whether the ad entered the visible area, whether it was displayed, and when these events occurred. These records are not linked to your account and are not used for cross-site tracking or profiling.
Only with your consent do we estimate a "session count" using a random identifier that lives solely in the current browser tab and expires when it closes. Without consent, we keep only aggregate data containing no session identifier at all. Network addresses used for abuse prevention are irreversibly hashed, stored separately, expire within minutes, and are never linked to the browsing records above.
If you click sponsored content, the link passes through a redirect address on our site so the click can be counted, then continues to the advertiser. We do not pass your identity, IP address, or browsing history to advertisers; they see only aggregated daily statistics.

Purposes vary by service. Website analytics and advertising apply only to website data; Chrome extension App IDs and API logs are limited to price comparison, service reliability, security, and legal compliance and are excluded from analytics advertising and personalized ads.
